AirShou iPhone Screen Recorder: Are you looking for a way to record your iPhone’s screen without having to jailbreak the device or using your computer? If yes, then you’ve come to right place.
In this article, I will be showing you an app that you can install right now using only your device. Of course, it’s not available to download from the App Store as Apple strictly prohibits apps having screen recording functionality to be published. Without further ado, let’s get started!
The app’s name is AirShou. If you’re familiar with Shou.tv, which is a community for Android and iOS gamers, chances are you’ve already heard about this iPhone screen recorder app. AirShou is a product developed by Shou’s team as well.
Initially, AirShou is used for recording/broadcasting gameplay on iOS devices. So that gamers can easily share their videos with the community. But since it’s free and can be installed with no effort, we can take advantage of it to serve our own purposes.
Before downloading the app, let’s take a look at its main features:
- Rendering high-quality recordings of intensive games and apps with less processing power
- Recording iOS devices’ screen with high resolution (up to 1080p @ 60FPS)
- Recording in four orientations without time limits
- Saving videos directly to the Camera Roll

How To Use AirShou To Record The iPhone Screen:
When you launch AirShou for the first time, it will ask you to log in using a ShouTv account. If you don’t have any account, you can alternatively use your Facebook, Google or Twitter account to quickly log in.
Note: Since AirShou works by simulating an AirPlay Mirroring connection to itself, you first need to connect your device to a Wi-Fi network to get it working.
The main screen provides us with two options: Broadcast and Record. We want to record our devices’ screen, so select Record.
Next, enter the name of the video (optional, if you don’t enter anything, the app will automatically generate a name by itself), choose the orientation. Once you’re done these settings, tap on the Next Step button
Now, swipe up from the bottom of the screen to open Control Center, tap on AirPlay Mirroring and choose AirShou. AirShou will start to record the screen immediately. When you hit the Home button to go to the Home screen, you should see the status bar in red now. This red status bar indicates that you’re currently launching a screen recorder app in the background.
If you find the red status bar is annoying and want to get rid of it, just open any app, and then press the Home button to go back to the Home screen. You will see the transparent status bar as before.
To stop recording the screen, open the AirShou and tap STOP.
To view your videos, go to the main screen of the app and tap on the button in the top right corner. You’ll be presented with a list of all the recorded videos. From there, you can play them within AirShou or save to Camera Roll.
That’s it. I’ve walked you through the whole tutorial on installing and using AirShou – the screen recorder app for iPhone & iPad. Hopefully, you can install the app on your device with no trouble. In the worst-case scenario, if you are still facing issues, let me know by leaving comments below.
